What is autophagy?

Autophagy is the molecular process of breaking down damaged or unusable cell components to be recycled as new energy. The concentration of the body's own spermidine also decreases with age. An accumulation of non-effective or toxic cell components are linked to age-related diseases in humans. Why do you recommend NMN and Apigenin together?

During the electron transport system in the mitochondria of cells, NAD+ plays and important cyclic roll. Essentially the more effect the re-cycling of existing NAD+ the better. There is evidence that to just continually supplement NAD+ looses its effectiveness and perhaps could become oxidative. Apigenin has been shown to block one of the key enzymes that prevents the recycling of NAD+. The combination of NMN and apigenin is designed to provide the best combination of NAD+ supplementation support through NMN and optimize recycling with apigenin.
